Stila Magnificent Metals Review | FreshOutTheRunway

My holy grail eye product!
In my current makeup favourites (which I'll link below) I briefly talked about the Stila Magnificent Metals Foil Finish Eyeshadow. I'm completely and utterly obsessed with them! Late last year I was exploring my local TK Maxx's makeup section, to which I found these. I had been previously looking on sites such as Beauty Bay for these, but I couldn't bring myself to pay £32!!! To my excitement TK Maxx were selling them for £3.99 each, well I couldn't believe my eyes! They were also selling the brush/applicator for £1.99, which retails for £11.50.
I bought 5 different shades:
Top left - Titanium; a dark silver with hints of black.
Middle top line - Metallic Dusty Rose; a baby pink with hints of silver glitter.
Top right - Comex Platinum; a strong silver.
Bottom left - Comex Copper; a dark, golden brown.
Bottom right - Metallic Cobalt; a navy blue with silver glisten.

These foiled eyeshadows are gorgeous. They reflect beautifully and have a glisten when light hits. I love the colour range which the brand has! These eye shadows can take an everyday subtle look, to a dramatic night time one. They are pigmented and creamy, and apply great to the eye lid. The packaging is sleek and is easy to open, in order to get the product out.
However, these products are very hard to apply! The tinniest amount is needed, it goes a long way. I apply in patting motions across the eyelid, starting from the inner corner. They also do take a little while to dry as they are so pigmented. But overall they are defiantly my holy grail product; I haven't found any product like these since discovering them.
The products come in a paper/cardboard box, wrapped in bubble wrap. Inside there is a metal plate, a puppet and liquid. Once you pick the eyeshadow out of the pot, you add it onto the plate. Then take the lid off the liquid, put the puppet inside the liquid bottle and squeeze the top. It then should pull some liquid up. Use one squeeze of the puppet to drop the liquid onto the eyeshadow, on the plate. Then take the brush you are going to be applying your eyeshadow with and mix together. This should create a wet, slimy mixture.
The brush that I use is Magnificent Metals Eyeshadow Applicator. This product is especially made to apply the eyeshadow. It has a flat shape which makes it easy to pat whilst applying the product over the lid. It is also silicon, therefore it is easy transferred onto the eye and no product is wasted. I really like this brush as it adds the product to the eye smoothly and in small amounts. It is tricky to apply, but I do think this brush helps massively with applying. If I don't have this brush handy I would otherwise use a flat Morphe brush.

If you want to buy a Magnificent Metal Eyeshadow I do suggest looking in your local TK Maxx before you spend £32.
Stila did a great job with these!
